If you’re at the originating site with a patient and an Eko device, you can start a live stream so that a distant site provider can listen remotely. This is typically used where there is a cart or Eko endpoint that multiple people use at the originating site where the patient, and Eko device, is located.
Here’s the general process:
-
Sign into the Eko App or Eko Dashboard.
-
Pair the Eko device with either the Eko App or the Eko Dashboard.
-
Start the live stream from either the Eko App or Eko Dashboard.
-
Share the live stream link (if required).
-
Distant provider listens to the live stream either with the link or with the Eko Dashboard.
A live stream link for a site or clinician is always the same URL. It can be shared with many different people, who can save the link and navigate to it anytime they want to listen to the live stream. It can also be reset when needed by your Institution Admin or Program Admin.
Sign into the Eko Dashboard with the credentials your institution provided for your site. The cart or endpoint you’re using may already be signed in.
2. Connect the Eko device
- Click the green action (+) button near the top right of the page.
- Select Start Live Stream.
- If you haven't done so already, power on your Eko device.
- From the Connect your Eko Device page, click Connect. A popup window appears. Select your Eko device and click Pair.
-
On the connected device's screen, click the Live Stream toggle to on. The live stream is now live.
-
To turn off the live stream, either click the Live Stream toggle to off or click the Exit button.
You can copy and share the live stream link with a distant site provider if that’s part of your workflow. The link can be dropped into a chat or sent with email. The provider can either open the link and listen anonymously or listen through the Eko Dashboard if they have an account and are signed in.
-
On the connected device's screen, click the Live Stream Link button.
-
Send the link to the distant site provider.
If the distant provider listens anonymously with the link, this is what they’ll see:
If the distant provider has an Eko account and is signed into the Eko Dashboard, they can either listen with the link you sent, or they can navigate to your site’s live stream from the Dashboard.
Sign into the Eko App with the credentials your institution provided for your site. The cart or endpoint you’re using may already be signed in.

The Live Stream link only shows for users who have permission to live stream.
-
On the bottom toolbar of the app, tap Listen.
-
On the top right, tap Live Stream. The Live Stream panel opens.

-
To turn off the live stream, simply turn off the Eko device, or tap the Start Live Stream toggle to off. The live stream can be left on if several patients are scheduled to be seen throughout the day. Providers can use the same link you shared previously, which can be saved as a “favorite” within their internet browser.
