About roles and access in the Eko Dashboard

Your experience using our platform will differ depending on the role you have. Some roles may be experienced by the same person.

Here’s the breakdown:

Role	Description
Institution Admin	Sets up and manages all programs and users for an institution using the Eko Dashboard. Only one person can be in this role. This role can: Create and request new programs. Deactivate programs. View and manage program details. Manage all users. Assign one or more clinicians to be a Program Admin for a program. View all functionality enabled for the institution.
Program Admin	Manages one or more specific programs using the Eko Dashboard. Multiple people can have this role for a program, and a person can have both a clinician role and a Program Admin role. This role can: View and manage users within the program. Invite new users (clinician and site) into the program.
Clinician	Uses the capabilities enabled for their institution, for a specific program. A clinician has a specific account for the Eko Dashboard with their own credentials. Can access sites and saved patient data. This role is typically on the listening/distant site.
Site	Uses the capabilities enabled for their institution, for a specific program. This role is used when there is a cart or Eko endpoint that multiple people use at the originating site where the patient, and Eko device, is located. A site’s live stream can be accessed through the Eko Dashboard or a shared link. Typically, this account is always signed in and whoever is using the cart or endpoint uses this account. This role is typically on the originating site.
